Hi everyone, I'm new to TRT, having only learned about it a few weeks ago through a Peter Attia podcast. I initially thought it was the same as "gear," but I’ve since realized they’re quite different.

I grew up in India and have been training on and off for 15 years. Three years ago, I got serious about my health, returning to the gym and cleaning up my diet. I dropped from 33% body fat to about 22% while building some muscle.

Over the past 6-8 months, however, my progress has stalled. Maintaining my gains requires intense effort, and further fat loss has been tough. I also experienced erection issues, but 5mg daily tadalafil has largely resolved that.

After reviewing my January bloodwork, I noticed my total testosterone was 436 and free testosterone was 85—both in the lower half of the range. When I approached my doctor about TRT, I was sent on an endless loop of referrals.

Frustrated, I’ve decided to self-administer. I ordered testosterone cypionate and HCG from a reliable site (great prices, by the way) and started retatrutide to manage food noise.

My plan is to begin with 120 mg/week of test cyp (40 mg on M/W/F), 750 IU/week of HCG (250 IU on M/W/F), and retest in a couple of months.I’m open to advice from experienced members of this forum. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum, brother! 👊
Appreciate the detailed background sounds like you’ve put in serious effort and are finally taking control of your health. Your plan looks solid for a starting protocol: 120mg/week test cyp + HCG is a good conservative dose, especially if you’re monitoring levels and symptoms.

Retatrutide should definitely help with appetite and fat loss too. Just stay consistent, track bloods every 8–12 weeks, and don’t chase numbers go by how you feel.

Feel free to reach out anytime lots of helpful guys here who've walked the same path.

Hey man, welcome to the forum and props to you for taking your health seriously and doing your homework. Dropping from 33% to 22% is no joke, especially while building muscle. Respect 👏

Your plan looks solid for a TRT start 120mg/week split M/W/F is a good way to keep levels steady, and the HCG will help keep things functioning. Retatrutide sounds like a smart add too if it’s helping with appetite and fat loss.

Definitely retest in a couple months and keep an eye on how you feel, not just the numbers. Energy, mood, recovery, libido all good signs your protocol is working.

Glad you’re here, and feel free to post updates.

Thanks @jim and @Oliver2010

Is there anything I can add to aid with fat loss/recomp? I read good things about HGH
HGH is definitely solid for long term fat loss and recomposition, especially when dosed low and slow (e.g 2–4 IU/day).
Just make sure diet and training are dialed in everything else works better with that foundation in place.
Happy to help if you need guidance on protocols.

Thanks Jim.
At YMS, is gentropin same as HGH?

Thanks. Once reconstitued, how long does it stay good when refrigerated?
Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water and properly refrigerated (between 2–8°C), Gentropin can typically stay good for up to 21 days. Always keep it in the fridge and avoid shaking the vial.
